Tennessee Board of Dentistry
The mission of the Tennessee Board of Dentistry is to safeguard the health, safety, and welfare of Tennesseans by requiring those who practice as dentists, dental hygienists, or dental assistant within this state be qualified.
The Tennessee Board of Dentistry is a state regulatory agency responsible for licensing and oversight of dental professionals in Tennessee. It is not affiliated with the Tennessee Dental Association. See below for more information.
Dental Practice Act
The Tennessee Dental Board ensures licensed dental professionals practice in accordance with the rules and statutes of the Dental Practice Act. These rules and statutes are available on the Dental Board site; you also can download the most recent Tennessee Dental Practice Act that combines the Rules and Statues and has been formatted for easier printing. For specific questions or interpretation, contact the Tennessee Board of Dentistry.
