A Full Active Member is a licensed, actively practicing dentist who maintains tripartite membership. Your tripartite dues are based on the district where you reside.*

*Full-time dental school faculty and public health employees are eligible for discounted rates.

Retired members save 75% on annual dues.

Even in retirement, your connection to the TDA can continue. As a retired member, you save 75% on annual dues making it easier to stay connected to your professional network and support the work of organized dentistry and the future of dentistry.

To qualify for retired tripartite membership, you must be fully retired and no longer earning any income from the practice of dentistry. You must also complete and return a retirement affidavit. Once the affidavit has been approved, members are eligible for discounted dues.

Retired Life

Please contact TDA Membership about your eligibility and becoming a Retired Life member.

Available to members who meet the requirements for retired membership and has been a member for 30 consecutive years or 40 total years and is a member in good standing. If not already completed, a retirement affidavit must be submitted to confirm eligibility. Life membership is effective the calendar year following the year in which these requirements are fulfilled. Members who qualify are eligible for free membership. 

Early career first year membership is free.

This option is for dentists graduating in the current or immediately previous membership year (2026 membership year, 2025/2026 graduate | 2027 membership year, 2026/2027 graduate) or those who have recently finished a residency.

Membership is provided at no cost to those who qualify. You owe no dues in the year you graduate. After that, you receive two years of reduced dues, with full dues beginning in your third full year out of dental school. Extended education programs may delay the start of reduced dues if membership is continuous.

Early career second year members save 50% on annual dues.

This option is for dentists who graduated two years prior to the current membership year (2026 membership year - 2024 graduate | 2027 Membership Year - 2025 graduate).
