Questions About Membership?
Full Active
A Full Active Member is a licensed, actively practicing dentist who maintains tripartite membership. Your tripartite dues are based on the district where you reside.*
*Full-time dental school faculty and public health employees are eligible for discounted rates.

1st Year Out of Dental School
This option is for dentists graduating in the current or immediately previous membership year (2026 membership year, 2025/2026 graduate) or those who have recently finished a residency.
Membership is provided at no cost to those who qualify. Extended education programs may delay the start of reduced dues if membership is continuous.
2nd Year Out of Dental School
This option is for dentists who graduated two years prior to the current membership year (2026 Membership Year, 2024 graduate).
Your dues are discounted by 50% and you will begin paying full dues next membership year. Extended education programs may delay the start of reduced dues if membership is continuous.
Retired
To qualify for retired tripartite membership, you must be fully retired and no longer earning any income from the practice of dentistry. You must also complete and return a retirement affidavit. Once the affidavit has been approved, members are eligible for discounted dues.
Retired members are eligible for a 75% dues reduction.
Retired Life
Available to dentists who have reached life membership status with the American Dental Association. Members who qualify are eligible for free membership. If not already completed, a retirement affidavit must be submitted to confirm eligibility.
