Professional Bio

Dr. Rhonda Switzer-Nadasdi graduated from the University of Manitoba College of Dentistry in 1991 and completed a general practice residency at the VA hospital in Louisville. Since then, she has spent her entire career overseeing dental programs for the underserved. She was the head of dentistry at a fly-in health center in the sub-arctic location of Churchill, Manitoba. She was also a staff dentist for the Department of Health in Hamilton, Bermuda where she cared for children of low-income families, people with mental health challenges, and people in nursing homes and those incarcerated.
Currently, Dr. Switzer-Nadasdi is the CEO of Interfaith Dental. She became the charity’s first employee in 1995 and during her tenure, the clinic has grown from a tiny two-chair operation located in a church basement to two facilities: one with 18 dental chairs in Nashville and another in Murfreesboro with 8. Last year, these two clinics provided over 8 million dollars of care for 4200 patients residing in a ten-county region in middle Tennessee. In addition, under her leadership Interfaith Dental designed and manages a state-wide oral health program for low-income older adults.
Dr. Switzer-Nadasdi is chair of the Tennessee Alliance of Oral Health Advocates and served on the American Dental Association’s council on Advocacy for Access and Prevention. She is on the board of the TN Dental Association, the Center for Nonprofit Excellence, The Tennessee Charitable Care Network, the Safety Net Consortium of Middle TN, the TN Center for Health Workforce and Development and was appointed by Governor Lee to a special taskforce to address oral health access for all Tennesseans.
She was an esteemed Nashville Health Care Council Fellow in 2023. She is a Rotarian attending Nashville Downtown Rotary and is a previous State Women’s Senior Amateur golf champion. She is married to a musician and is the proud Mom of two sons.
